This Catheter competency ttraining is for Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses.

This Catheter competency entails mandatory pre-reading material and both theory and practical assessments.
A result of 90% or higher is required for the theory assessment.
The training session includes a practical demonstration and practice on our life-like simulated model. Training can be provided for female, male and suprapubic catheterisation.
Candidates are required to demonstrate each type of catheterisation (i.e. male, female and supra-pubic) on two occasions with a client/s before being declared competent themselves. This practical demonstration must be witnessed by a catheter competent nurse before competency can be awarded.
Due to the close supervision required for this training places are limited. Training is conducted at our venue. On-site training can be negotiated with our trainer.
